Baby girl

I made this card for a baby shower of a friend who is having a baby girl soon.

The card was a pre coloured/patterned card blank from Dawn Bibby's flower patch collection.

To the card I added stickers to spell 'Baby Girl' (which you can't see very well in the picture).  I also added some large pink gems and the baby is a Lili of the Valley stamp I have coloured with Copics.

For the flower I got inky with some glassine and then cut using the Tattered Florals die - I scrunched them up a lot to give them this crumpled look and then attached the flowers using a pink glittery hand brad.

Harvey's 2nd birthday

This is a card I made for a friend's son's 2nd birthday a few weeks ago.

The backing paper is from Crafty Boots and I added his name and age using foam stickers.

I used a Stampin Up stamp set and stamped all the animals in different colours using Kuretake Zig Art and Graphic pens.

I cut them out with a circle punch and then mounted them onto larger scalloped circles.

I attached each of the animals to the card using action wobbles so that they wobbled about (this aspect of the card was the most popular with the recipient who enjoyed pinging them about so they'd wobble!!).

Easter

The theme at Crafty Boots Challenges this fortnight is Easter.

I can't believe we're already so close to Easter, it seems like Christmas was only last week!

I finally managed to find some time to craft this weekend.  A friend was visiting from Scotland and she wanted to try and make some cards.  While she was playing with inks and things I managed to make a couple of cards including this Easter card.

This bunny and the sentiment are both Daisy and Dandelion stamps.  I coloured the bunny with Copics and embossed the sentiment in black.

My favourite flat backed pearls managed to get out of their pot again!!

I'm still a little addicted to my tattered florals die so that is getting a lot of use.  This time I cut the shapes in pink and used gold leaf around the edge of the largest flower and the whole of the second one and then attached them all together with a heart shaped brad.

Mother's Day card

Here is the card I made for my Mum this year for Mother's Day.

I started with a square of kraft card which I sprayed with a glitter spray.

I had a smaller square of paper from the 'Love Me' paper pad from Crafty Boots.  On the paper I then stamped a 'Mum' stamp which I coloured with Sakura glitter pens, and a sentiment from a Some Odd Girls stamp set 'In stitches Tia'./

The little girl and the cotton reel images I have stamped together are from the same stamp set and I coloured them with Copics.

I also used some fancy ribbon which I had been hanging on to (one of those for stroking only ones!!) which I thought my Mum would like.

I'm still loving my Tattered Florals die and this time cut it from pink glitter card and secured it all in place with a large heart shaped brad.

Happy Birthday Amy!

For those of you wondering - no I haven't given up crafts for lent!!  I have been so busy I just haven't had time!  I did find time however to make this card for Amy who's birthday it is today!

I have been itching to find time to use this gorgeous stamp from Some Odd Girl which arrived from America a couple of weeks ago.  Isn't she gorgeous?!  I coloured her with copics, wink of stella and sakura gel pens.

I cut her our using grand nesties and added some pale pink pearls in each of the scallops on the shape.  I then cut the same shape in a bigger size in gold mirror card and layered this behind.

The background paper is My Minds Eye and also layered on some gold mirror card.  I also used my favourite Stampin Up ribbon and a Happy Birthday sentiment from Crafty Boots.
